Join the Active House Awards


The Active House Alliance invites professional house builders, developers, architects, designers and students who have developed, or have in mind, a sustainable buildings project to submit an application for the Active House Label Awards. The project will be evaluated based on the Active House vision and the ‘Winner’ and ‘Best in class’ projects will be awarded with an Active House label.

Active House Label

The Active House Label is a worldwide quality stamp for comfortable and sustainable buildings. It advices on elements that are important to people’s life and their homes. The label is issued to buildings that has been evaluated in accordance with the Active House specifications and meet the minimum demands in terms of indoor conform, smart use of energy and minimum impact on the environment.

How to apply

Participants should fill in the Application form that can be downloaded from the Active House page and send it to the Active House Secretariat together with the supporting documents/ files. The Alliance will then upload the project on the dedicated page which signals the qualification in the competition. (This process might take 1-2 weeks since the date of the submission.)
Step 1: Download Application Form here
Step 2: Send the completed Application Form together with the supporting documents/ files to the Active House Secretariat at by 23rd of August
Step 3: The Jury will make a preselection of best projects in first week September, which will compete for the Active House label(s)
Step 4: The winner and the label-awarded projects (4 in total – 1 in each category) will be announced in Mid September, during the 7th Active House Symposium
