Skylight and courtyard are introduced to maximize the daylight and natural ventilation. 86%of regularly occupied spaces would meet the illuminance requirement with daylight, 69.7% of the regularly occupied spaces could achieve 2ACH of natural ventilation. The skylight and all glazing areas towards the south and west are equipped with shading devices to keep the indoor spaces out of glare. Moreover, CO2 sensors are installed in the highly-dense rooms to interact with the ventilation system, thus keeping the indoor air quality.

With the passive design strategies, the energy demand of the building is minimized. High-efficiency heat pumps (COP>5.8), heat recovery technology and LED lighting fixtures (<8W/m2)together lead to the result of annual energy consumption of 29.98 kwh/m2.

The use of rain water for gardening has established. The prefabricated steel structure is used and the recycled content takes 67.2% of total materials.
